В июне 2014 в Японии стартовали продажи нового универсала Subaru Levorg, который заменил Legacy Touring Wagon в линейке бренда. При этом Леворг значительно меньше последнего поколения этой модели — его размеры сопоставимы с предыдущим. Таким образом, Субару пошла вслед за Тойотой, которая одной из первых отказалась от увеличения размеров авто при смене поколений семейства Corolla. Даунсайзинг прослеживается не только в габаритных размерах, но и в техническом оснащении. Базовым двигателем стал новый оппозитный мотор FB16 с рабочим объемом 1,6 литра. Стоит отметить, что эта силовая установка по своим показателям сравнима с 2,5-литровыми атмосферными двигателями — спасибо турбонаддуву и прямому впрыску топлива. Топовым агрегатом стал 2,0-литровый FA20. Привод во всех случаях полный, а трансмиссия — фирменный вариатор Lineartronic. В мае 2016 компания Subaru представила STI-версию Levorg. Автомобиль получил множество мелких доработок из каталога STI, но силовые установки остались прежними. К числу STI-доработок на Levorg можно отнести усовершенствования шасси: специальную подвеску DampMaticII с амортизаторами Bilstein, а также 18-дюймовые легкосплавные диски и модифицированный электроусилитель рулевого управления. Кроме того, автомобиль получил специальный аэродинамический обвес с иными бамперами, светодиодные противотуманные фары, хромированные насадки на глушитель, двухцветный салон с логотипами STI и опциональную окраску кузова WR Blue Pearl.

Levorg. It might be a funny name but Subais fundamentally the same underneath as the current fourth-generation WRX. Powered by an identical 197kW / 350Nm turbocharged 2.0-litre boxer, the Levorg suffers a 50-kilogram weight penalty over the sedan, thanks to the extra bodywork at the back. The car is almost 10cm longer, despite having the same wheelbase and front-end. It looks good. Well, turns out that for those who like to drive harder and faster will prefer the tS, which gets really good adaptive dampers which offer a slightly better ride, but mainly improve the body control of the WRX wagon - which can be a bit sloppy and wayward in the base and GT grades. But in the tS, it is fine. Powered by a 2.4-litre turbo engine and CVT (sadly no manual), the new WRX wagon (Levorg) competes against the Skoda Octavia RS, Volkswagen Golf R wagon, and other performance family cars.
